MOTHER'S CARE; BEST EVER
Back in the days, brothers and sisters sometime share beds or mats(as the case may be); parents have time for their children espcially the female child. This so in Africa because in most cases, male children go to farm with their fathers. So, mothers have time for their female children. They know when their children starts menstruating, when they begin to have disturbances from peers.
To make the whole thing worse, industrialisation and modernisation have both built a solid barrier between mother and child. industrialisation and modernisation have both exchanged the role of parents with Day Care Centers. Practically, others eyes now take of "our" children on our behalf, forgetting that our values, beliefs, customs and traditions defer.
Most children now suffer emotional breakdown. As a result, peer pressure has now found it way to lead astray many children. It comes in disguise as help for emotionally disturbed teenagers. Most of these children cannot even get their parents' attention when Dad is a Lion and Mum is a Tigress.
